*Study and learn as much as you can. It is up to you wether you succeed or fail. we will always be available to help you with any problems you have. We are proud of our school, faculty, students,and staff. You can help us keep out good record of doing our best. It is my sincere hpe that your experience at Philadelphia School will be one filled with happiness and succees.

I urge parents to support the school, teachers, and programs. Parents' postitve attitudes and support make a significant difference.

Absences

All absences wil be entered into the computer as unexcused. These will only be changed after we receive a parent note or a doctor's excuse. The state allows only five parent notes per semesters as excused.

An excused absence means a child is absent for a legitimate reason. For exmple:illnes,death in family,and doctor appointments. Please send any notes pertaining to absences to your child's homeroom teacher.

If absent more than three days a doctor's excuse is mandatory. Any vacations must be cleared with the school beforehand. It is the students responsibility to ask for and cmplete all make-up work.

Any stuent who has five or more unexcused absences will be reported to the supertident's office.

Early Dismissals

School begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. For maximum educational benefits students must remain at school all day long. Occasionally, a child may have a doctor's appiontment during school hours. Otherwise, tardies and early dismissals without a doctor's excuse will accumlate and count as absences or count toward the five parent notes allowable for the semester. Three tardies or early dismissals will count as one day absent.

Emergency Forms

If at any time during the year your phone number , adress, or job site changes, please send the information to us. We always need up-to -date information on the emergency card in case your child becomes ill or gets injured.
