Homer in 8 th grade 1953

I remember Mary Rothwell fainting when Philadelphia won the county basketball tournament. I remember Dick Harwell 's Store. Kids stopped by after school for bologna & crackers, candy bars, Pepsi colas, moon pies & ice cream. It was kidded about that before cutting the bologna, Dick would spit on his hands and rub them together.

I remember Uncle Jake McNabb, the custodian at school, would play marbles with the kids. He would play "roll the line". Other popular marble games were "pigs eye" & "bull's eye".
